Madeira - Lugar de Baixo

A tiny marsh but still one of the biggest freshwater pools on the island. It proved it's status as a rare bird magnet with a fine Gull-billed Tern, possibly only the second for the island ever.

Four years ago these Pectoral and Sharp-tailed Sandpipers shared the same pool with Solitary Sandpiper and Green-winged Teal!
